YOUNTVILLE BOOKMARK STORY CONTEST

Ever written a poem or story that would fit on a bookmark? Interested in doing so? The Bookmark Coalition is looking for the five best stories that will be printed on Library Bookmarks and distributed to the public. There also will be a prize to each of the five winners.

Each writer must be a Napa County resident and can submit two unpublished stories, either in prose or poetry format, with a limit of 60 words per story. Each submission must have a title and may not include any profanity or disparaging remarks. The entries will undergo blind review in two categories (17 and under/18 and older) and the best five submissions will be chosen. Anyone can submit their first entry for free. Napa County Library Card holders can use the code NCLIBRARY to enter a second submission for free. You will be asked to enter your card number.

The Bookmark Stories Contest is a collaboration between the Yountville Library, Friends of the Yountville Library, and the Yountville Arts Commission. Submissions will be accepted starting May 15 and are due by June 298, 2024.  Winners will be announced on September 26th at the Bookmark Stories Celebration.
